Normally I steer clear of the political fray after a lifetime of being politically neutral. But I was appalled and shocked by the Eoin O'Broin Tweet, dog whistling the housing crisis and using an iconic image of the cabin evictions of the past with Garda images superimposed. This representation is grossly insulting and totally misrepresents the role of a police service in these troubling times. It bears no connection to the battering rams of the past. Evictions and homelessness represent misery to thousands but do not demonise the AGS in this mess.
